How Alumni Donations Help Our Program

Many thanks to all of you who have supported our program year after year through donations to the Truman Foundation. Especially in this period of serious reductions in state funding, every dollar makes a big difference!

Your contributions to the Communication Disorders program are invaluable because they can be used where the need is greatest. The faculty votes to spend this money as carefully as if it was our own, on items and efforts that benefit as many students and clients as possible.

In addition to the Hall and Sparks scholarships, Foundation funds help us provide:

• Registration fees for students presenting research at state or national conferences
• Teaching materials for classroom use
• End-of-year celebration for graduating seniors and graduate students
• Student awards
• Clinic supplies

Did a clinical supervisor or professor make a difference in your life? Do you remember your Freshman Week Picnic? Were you a student who received a scholarship or an award? Did we help you attend a professional conference? Consider expressing your gratitude and making these things possible for current and future students through a donation.
