Sparks Scholarship for Communication Disorders Students

The James W. Sparks Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to an outstanding rising junior Communication Disorders major who shows outstanding achievement and promise as a clinician.

For 2006, the Sparks Scholarship was awarded to Ellen Winfrey. Congratulations Ellen!

James W. Sparks was a much loved and respected member of the faculty in communication disorders in the 1970's. In response to his untimely illness and death, his students and former students and colleagues established the Sparks Scholarship.
