Every student in the CMDS graduate program completes a single-subject research project as part of the requirements for CMDS 667 Research Methodology.
Building on this experience, many Truman master's students elect to do a thesis project in order to further pursue a topic of special interest to them.

Graduate students present their research locally in the annual Research Forum in Communication Disorders held at the end of each fall semester. In addition, many graduate students present their projects at the Missouri Speech-Language-Hearing Association spring convention.
