
Connie Ikerd serves as the secretary for the Communication Disorders program. She has been with CMDS for over 30 years now! As the program secretary and clinic secretary, she handles the correspondence with prospective undergrad and graduate students as well as the many clients who come to the Truman State University Speech and Hearing clinic for evaluations and therapy each year. She is often the important first contact between the clinic and new clients or the program and new students. She handles the maintenance of filing for ASHA accreditation and correspondence for the Communication Disorders program.
Connie supervises student office workers and.coordinates scheduling for rooms and course offerings in CMDS.
In her free time, Connie enjoys walking her sable-color sheltie, Dusty. Dusty came to Connie through a Central Illinois Sheltie Rescue organization, which Connie stays in touch with. She also enjoys doing crafts and decorative painting of florals and still-lifes, reading, and shopping.
