Paul H. Brookes Publishing premiered "Clinical Computing Competency for Speech-Language Pathologists” at the 2004 ASHA convention in Philadelphia. Yes, that is Ms. Passe with Alex gracing the cover! The photo below shows Dr. C. with Elaine Niefeld, Acquisitions Editor from Brookes, at the Brookes booth in the convention exhibit hall.
The book is intended for working clinicians as well as students who want to use computers directly with clients and use new technologies to help with evaluation and treatment of a wide range of clients. It features topics on many of the professional and ethical concerns surrounding the use of technology (like copyright issues) as well as an extensive section about assistive technology and adapted access to computers.

When you purchase a book, you'll be supporting Truman's Foundation fund for Communication Disorders as well as the American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation. All author royalties are donated to these non-profit foundations.
