Toby Stephan, representative of the Hanen Center, Toronto, Canada, will be doing an interactive workshop for professionals. The Hanen Center is a recognized innovator in family-focussed early language intervention programs and learning resources for parents and professionals around the world.
Truman students may be familiar with the work of the Hanen Center director, Elaine Weitzman, author of often cited sources such as Learning Language and Loving It (about language development and facilitation in preschoolers) and More Than Words (an approach to working with children with autism).
We are all looking forward to this excellent opportunity to get a first-hand description of the Hanen Center philosophy and method.
