CoDA Executive Board with guest speaker Toby Stephan
Toby Stephan, MS., CCC-SLP, representative of the Hanen Center, Toronto, Canada, provided an interactive workshop for the members of Truman's Communication Disorders Association (CoDA) as well as junior, senior, and graduate students and faculty on Thursday March 26.. The Hanen Center is a recognized innovator in family-focused early language intervention programs and learning resources for parents and professionals around the world.
Truman students may be familiar with the work of the Hanen Center director, Elaine Weitzman, author of often cited sources such as Learning Language and Loving It (about language development and facilitation in preschoolers) and More Than Words (an approach to working with children with autism).
CoDA hosted a breakfast for participants prior to the workshop -- thanks everyone, it was delicious!
